Let’s try to read as much of the Bible we can together this year.I know it is not always easy.I want to help.I am going to provide you with some questions most Mondays to Fridays that will help you get a little something out of what you are reading. Sometimes there will be more questions, sometimes less. So, get a notebook, a pen, your Bible, and if you would like some help, take some time to answer the questions, and you may be surprised by all God teaches you.Genesis 10This is going to be a challenging chapter. I mean, a genealogy. And this is only one of the first. But it is here for a purpose. So let’s dig in and see what God has for us. 

1. What is this according to verse 1? 
2. What does this provide for us according to verse 32? 
3. This list of names comes after the flood. What might a list of nations say about the mercy of God and His faithfulness to His promise to Noah?
4. Obviously we have here a list of all kinds of different people who live all over the world, but all those different people can trace their ancestry back to who? 
5. Moses is about to shift his focus to the Israelites throughout the rest of the Pentateuch. But, what do you think the fact that he talks about all these different nations tell you about God’s concern and perhaps even the purpose of why we are going to be reading so much about the Israelite
6. This chapter will get us ready for the next. What happens in the beginning of chapter 11 actually comes before chapter 10. This chapter tells us that there were different nations, and chapter 11 tells us why. What could be the possible reason God created nations?
7. This chapter doesn’t only give us a list of names. There are some comments throughout. What nations does he talk about in these comments? (See verse 8-12, 13, and 19?) What role do these nations play in the rest of the Pentateuch and Israelite history?
8. Who is Nimrod and what city did he found?

Psalm 10

1. What question does the Psalmist ask? Have you ever asked this question?
2. What causes him to ask this question in verses 2 through 11? How does he describe the wicked? 
3. What does the Psalmist remind himself in verse 13 and 17?
4. Who does the Psalmist say God commits himself to protecting? What does that tell you about God’s heart?
5. We have a tension in this psalm. There are times when it seems like the wicked are winning, and yet, God has committed himself to the needy and the vulnerable. How do we deal with that tension, do you think?
6. How would you summarize the Psalmist’s prayer? What do you think that tells us about the righteous man’s attitude towards injustice and abuse? What is your attitude towards injustice and abuse?

Matthew 10

1. How many disciples did Jesus call? Why do you think he called this many disciples? 
2. What are some of the other ways in which Jesus has “reenacted” Israel’s story throughout the gospel of Matthew so far? What do you think that might tell you about Jesus?
3. Where does Jesus tell the disciples to go? Where does he tell them not to go? Why?
4. What were they supposed to proclaim? What were they supposed to do? What do you think is happening here? How does this fit into the big story of Scripture?
5. What does Jesus say about the people and towns who reject His representatives? Why is that a shocking statement? What does that tell you about the importance of Jesus and His message?
6. What is life going to be like for Jesus’ disciples as they go out to proclaim His message? 
7. Matthew 10:23 is a challenging verse. What are the disciples do when they are persecuted, and why? Why do you think the Son of Man coming quickly is a reason for them to flee to the next town to preach the kingdom of God? (Some people think Son of Man coming is a reference to the judgment of Jerusalem, others perhaps the Son of Man coming is a reference to Jesus’ Triumphal Entry, death and resurrection. After all, this time was Israel’s chance to accept Him before they were judged for their rejection of Him.)
8. What reason does Jesus say they shouldn’t be afraid of persecution?
9. Who is not worthy of Jesus? 
10. How do you find your life according to Jesus?
11. What happens to those who reach out in love to those who represent Jesus and serve Jesus?
