Simple lessons...
If God is pursuing something, it gets done.It doesn't matter if you have the resources. It doesn't matter if you have the abilities. It doesn't matter if it seems impossible.If God is pursuing something, it gets done.I am telling you. I have seen this way too many times in my life.I will try something. I'll make plans. I'll administrate it like crazy. I'll reason it out. And it falls flat.But God.He wants something done. He gets it done.I am feeling like we are right in the middle of that right now. And it's exciting. I have written before that we wanted to move to inner city Pretoria not for the purpose of moving on up, but really for the purpose of moving on down. Or better, serving. But it seemed impossible. Where we stay now is free. Even though it is in this great section of Pretoria, it is free.We didn't have the kind of money needed to make a move. But we looked. We prayed. And now it looks like there is a real possibility God is going to allow us to move into a huge eight bedroom house 3 kilometers from downtown, not quite for free but almost.We would have to pay about 20,000 dollars or so out of which we have ready to go about 10 or a little more. It's not a done deal yet, so you know it could change but it seems to be happening and if God wants to do it, it will get done.What's so cool about the house is that it is set up with five bedrooms on one side and three on the other, which means we could use the house for discipling men. Our idea is to house about five to six men and to intensively disciple them from the home. Two teenage orphans from the D.R.C., two Christ's Seminary students, and then one intern and maybe another refugee. We'll see. Because the worldviews are so different, we've found in family teaching and training goes so much quicker and deeper than just sitting in a classroom for an hour a week. You need that. But you need more.I could keep going.The house has a three car garage that we would like to convert into a training center. But we'll see. I am getting ahead of myself but I bring it up to you for prayer. It seemed impossible a couple months ago. Now, it seems much more realistic at least. And if God says yes, it will happen of that I am sure!
